How this Kimchi Premium is calculated
The core formula is (Korean KRW price ÷ global reference converted to KRW − 1) × 100. Binance is preferred as the global spot reference, with Bybit, Bitget and OKX used as fallbacks when available. USD/KRW uses a public reference FX source and USDT is checked against its USD peg.
Very illiquid assets and extreme symbol-collision outliers remain visible but are excluded from the market representative median. This snapshot does not guarantee an executable arbitrage spread.
What is the Kimchi Premium?
It is the percentage gap between Korean KRW exchange prices and a comparable global spot reference after conversion to the same currency basis.
Why do Kimchi Premium sites show slightly different values?
Different Korean venues, global references, FX sources, stablecoin assumptions, update timing and symbol matching can all change the result.
Does a high premium mean arbitrage is immediately executable?
No. Deposits and withdrawals, network status, fees, order-book depth, FX costs and transfer time all matter. This page is a market-comparison tool.
